Health

Part of breeding responsibly is taking all precautions and making sure all dogs in the breeding program are healthy. This involves testing each breeding dog and taking

into consideration the health of past lineage. At Wanderlust we complete testing required by OFA and the parent club (CSCA). This includes hips, elbows, eyes, and PDP1.

Below are the links explaining why testing for quality of hips, elbows, eyes are so important

Hips- https://www.ofa.org/diseases/hip-dysplasia

Elbows- https://www.ofa.org/diseases/elbow-dysplasia

Eyes- https://www.ofa.org/diseases/eye-certification

PDP1- https://www.ofa.org/diseases/dna-tested-diseases/pdp1

Below is a little more explanation for why and what we test for.
