Clumber Spaniels

Clumber Spaniels are known as the gentleman's (and ladies) gundog. This breed was first discovered in France and later brought to England to escape the war. They became the companion bird dogs of the kings of England.

Clumbers are the largest of the AKC flushing spaniels. They are big-boned, long and low, and heavy browed. This breed was one of the first to be accepted by the AKC in 1878!

Clumber spaniels make for a fantastic companion. They are loving, smart, loyal, and silly! Agile in the field and laid back in the home. As well as a good companion this spaniel is also family-friendly! They enjoy entertaining and playing with children. Watching them play together brings immediate joy and smiles to one's face.
